FOUND A GM TSB, STATING SAME SYMPTOMS AS CUSTOMER DESCRIBED. FOLLOWED STEPS IN TSB AND FOUND HEAT SHIELD FOR STARTER LOOSE AND LAYING UNDER THE STARTER. HEAT SHIELD, WHEN LOOSE CAN CONTACT BATTERY CABLE WIRE CAUSING BATTERY DISCHARGE. RE-INSTALL STARTER HEAT SHIELD WITH GAP AROUND BATTERY WIRE ON STARTER
